Oxford International Event Management

Our job is to make sure our clients get the most out of their event budget. We're constantly exploring new destinations to find accessible cities that offer incredible value for money. Here are our favourites:

Budapest

When the ICCA (International Conference and Convention Association) published its 2007 top city rankings this year, Budapest came 6th. It beat off competition from the likes of London, Madrid, Prague and Istanbul. Here’s why we think it deserves it place at the top of the poll:

The city has seen a huge amount of investment in its conference and exhibition facilities over recent years and things are only going to get better. The Hungarian government is supporting the construction of a large conference venue, which aims to be the largest venue in central Europe when it opens in 2009.

We love Budapest’s wide open spaces, tree lined boulevards and the fact that travel into and around the city is remarkably good. Not only does Budapest boast beautiful historic buildings, but it has a wide range of hotels and facilities to suit all tastes and budgets. Particular mention goes to the Sofitel which is situated on the bank of the Danube. Don’t be put off by the external façade. The inside has enjoyed a massive renovation recently. The Four Seasons Gresham Palace is another favourite of ours. Originally built in 1827, it was bought by the Four Seasons hotel chain in 2001. Having spent millions renovating it, the palace is now a luxury Art Nouveau landmark. Other Budapest venues we have successfully worked with are the InterContinental, Kempinski and Meridien hotels – all well worth considering for future conferences and events.

Budapest is a great destination for incentive clients. The city boasts a number of hotels that offer luxury spa and wellbeing treatments, as well as thermal lakes and spa resorts such as the Gellért Hill Thermal Baths.
