Never let it be said we’re not generous. We thought we’d share some of our favourite tips for making sure your event is a huge success!
Sticky Rice

Picture the scene. It’s an important event in our client’s calendar. We want every last detail to be just right. We have sweated over the arrangements for months and our efforts seem to have paid off. That is until the guests sat down to eat.
Like any good event planner we held a tasting session with the client to choose the menu. We wanted to make sure the food was perfect! The food was perfect, but there was one very unfortunate problem. We’d selected sticky rice as an accompaniment to the main dish and it was sticking to the waitresses serving spoons like treacle!
Imagine our horror when we were presented with dozens of silver service servers desperately trying to encourage the rice off the spoon without resorting to force – the consequences of which would have seen rice flicked everywhere.
The valuable lesson we learnt – when doing a tasting make sure the food is served to you just as it will be on the night! During our tasting session the dishes were served to us already plated up. We didn’t experience the silver service that our guests enjoyed on the night. If we had, we certainly wouldn’t have opted for sticky rice!
