BACKGROUND

A pharmaceutical client wanted to hold an investigator meeting to bring together internationally recruited doctors who were participating in its clinical study of 3 products for stress, anxiety and depression.

OBJECTIVES

Oxford International was given just three months notice to propose appropriate destinations and venues and organise and manage the 4 day event. Because delegates were travelling from Europe, South Africa and Russia, the meeting required a central destination that was attractive to delegates and easily accessible. It was also essential that the venue had at least 17 meeting rooms to accommodate the client’s extensive meeting agenda. The chosen location would also have to offer suitable restaurants that could cater for off-site evening meals.

SOLUTION

The event was held at the Rome Marriot Park Hotel which is situated 11km from Fiumicino International Airport in Italy. It offered the best rates and accessibility. The purpose built conference hotel had the required availability and could accommodate all the event’s extensive criteria. Oxford International provided a comprehensive service which included innovative technology solutions to streamline the organisation of the event and provide a professional experience for the delegates. This included a custom built communication and registration website, badge scanning technology and key pad voting.
