Investigator meeting
The brief

A pharmaceutical client wanted to hold an investigator meeting to bring together internationally recruited doctors, inform them how the study was progressing, and advise on roles and procedures. Budget was key, and the lead-time was a mere 6 weeks from confirmation to the event itself.
The solution: Budapest
Budapest was chosen as the destination. Not only as a city is it excellent value for money, but Oxford International has a close relationship with an excellent ground team there, and also with the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus which was used for accommodation and also to host the meeting.
Organising travel and visas for two hundred largely eastern european delegates in a matter of weeks was a challenge, but our Travel Department worked closely with clinical assistants in each country to achieve clarity and break down language barriers.
A low-key group dinner was held to allow networking and discussion of the meeting’s educational content. The dinner complied with ABPI guidelines and other European pharmaceutical codes.
The response
The client was very pleased with the organisation of the meeting, and also the social programme that had been devised. This was Oxford International’s first event with this client – the fact that we are now working on the fourth is testament enough to the success of the Budapest meeting.
